Paul Gauguin Oil Painting Reproductions |
Paul Gauguin was a French painter whose bold use of color helped shape Post Impressionism. His oil paintings simplify figures and landscapes into broad areas of color bounded by outlines. In scenes of Brittany and Tahiti, he combined daily life with symbols and imagination, using color to express ideas rather than copy appearances.
