Edward Robert Hughes R.W.S. Oil Painting Reproductions |
Edward Robert Hughes was an English painter associated with the later Pre Raphaelites. Best known for his watercolors, he also painted portraits in oil. In Midsummer Eve a young woman stands among tiny glowing fairies. Fine detail and carefully set points of light give his imaginary scenes the clarity of something closely observed.
